Whether you care for someone with a disability, long-term illness, dementia, frailty, addiction or mental health condition, our Hubs offer practical help, emotional support and tailored guidance.

Birmingham Carers Hub

Free registration and easy access to support — available to anyone providing care, even for just a couple of hours a week. No benefits required.

  • Free, holistic Carers Assessments for carers supporting adults 18+
  • Advice on social care, benefits, equipment, respite, leisure and housing
  • Confidential helpline for guidance or a listening ear
  • Community mini hubs across Birmingham via partner organisations
  • Support groups, wellbeing events and practical workshops
  • Free Carer Friendly ID Card recognised across the city

Dementia Carers Hub

  • Dedicated Dementia Carers Advisors throughout the dementia journey
  • Carer Assessments
  • Dementia Café hosted by Age Connects West Midlands — peer support, activities, expert advice
  • Dementia community activity groups across the city

Sandwell Carers Hub

Borough-wide support delivered in partnership with trusted local organisations — Age Connects West Midlands, Age UK Sandwell, Midland Mencap and St Albans Community Association.

  • Emergency planning support
